In response to the latest tragedy of that darling child being left in a car and not dropped at childcare we are checking the sign in at 10am and alerting parents who have a child enrolled but the child has not turned up I am SMSing a parent manually. Can we have the system do it for us as mobile numbers are in there, even just alerting one parent or one contact would put out the alarm and make parents think about where the child is. I message "your child has been signed in but has not arrived at childcare". My parents love it and yes they might simply be late but they don't care, its a wonderful protective action.
